As many of you already know, the Winter production is actually what's called a repertory offering. We're doing two shows in the same space on alternating nights:
1) The Complete Works of William Shakespeare...Abridged (3-8 actors, all gender flexible)
All 37 plays in 97 minutes! Three (or more?) people in tights weave their wicked way through all of Shakespeare's comedies, histories, and tragedies in one wild ride that will leave you breathless and helpless with laughter! An irreverent, fast-paced romp through the Bard's plays, TCWOWS(A) was London's longest-running comedy.
2) The Wolves (9 youth actors, all female/female-presenting; 1 adult actor, female/female presenting)
Left quad. Right quad. Lunge. A girls' indoor soccer team warms up. From the safety of their suburban stretch circle, the team navigates big questions and wages tiny battles with all the vim and vigor of a pack of adolescent warriors. A portrait of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness for nine young American women who just want to score some goals.
Two very different plays: one a comedy, the other a drama; one fast paced and clever, one passionate and personal...both diving into the things that bind us together.
More and more information will be coming out in the coming days. Keep your browser pointed here for all the deets...
In the meantime, you can read The Wolves by accessing the script in the menu/sidebar...and download the joint-show audition packet to get up to speed on the auditions, expectations, and timelines.
See you after the Thanksgiving Holiday!
